Publishing Project “Thing 2”

Pop Lloyd was a beloved baseball player who was born in Palatka. We even have our own little league named after him! I am working on producing a series of trifold static displays to share information in our libraries about prominent African Americans in our community, because although almost half of our population is African American there is so little known among the general public of their contributions to Putnam County.

I’ve attached a photo of the display as it’s being set up in our library. It was printed on a large format printer 24 inches wide and 36 inches tall in the center, with two ‘wings’ that are 12 inches wide and 36 inches tall. The printout was then mounted to a trifold display board and sat up with several copies photos we have from the archives that include team photos, newspaper clippings, and letters to a fan.
