Presentation Software Project

Though I’ve used PowerPoint for a long time, it was an intriguing thought to use it as design software. For this project I used PowerPoint to design a large, banner-sized poster presenting a timeline of a local landmark, the Bronson-Mulholland House, that I hope the Putnam County Historical Society can use somewhere in the house when they give tours on the weekends.

This project took longer than I’d like, but I still want to put more work into it. The information I was able to get is probably 20% my own knowledge, 50% knowledge from our local historian, and 30% the dreaded Wikipedia. I’d like to go back with our historian and go through the Wikipedia information to comb it through for veracity so that eventually this can be printed, laminated, and used in the Bronson-Mulholland for information. There is a plan to put it on the main staircase which has a couch in front of it for guests to sit on when they’re unable to go upstairs for the second floor portion of the tour, which I think would provide a good opportunity for them to learn a bit more about the house and history.
